three good things: how i felt*

Last night before I fell asleep I thought back to the past 24 hours and found a few things that made me happy =))
* mr.anthony taught us ways to increase our levels of happiness and we were all enthusiastic about it + we found our signature strengths which were really interesting and looked at others'
* chem test wasn't too hard;;i think i did well :D
* we went out to a nice restaurant for dinner instead of staying home :D
and that's all I could think of right now, but I overslept the next morning;; I was planning to get up a bit earlier and finish some of my leftover hw and instead got up later than usual...so I guess it worked!!
I think this activity is really simple and rewarding, and doesn't require much effort. It's better to feel better about myself at the end of the day and shove all the bad things out of my head, and instead focus on the things that are positive. Many people go to bed with worries and I think that may affect our dreams... so I hope my dreams get better =)

reactions to my top 5 strengths*

My results for the longggg signature strengths test:

Your Top Strength
Judgment, critical thinking, and open-mindedness
Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are important aspects of who you are. You do not jump to conclusions, and you rely only on solid evidence to make your decisions. You are able to change your mind.
Your Second Strength
Caution, prudence, and discretion

You are a careful person, and your choices are consistently prudent ones. You do not say or do things that you might later regret.
Your Third Strength
Citizenship, teamwork, and loyalty

You excel as a member of a group. You are a loyal and dedicated teammate, you always do your share, and you work hard for the success of your group.
Your Fourth Strength
Honesty, authenticity, and genuineness

You are an honest person, not only by speaking the truth but by living your life in a genuine and authentic way. You are down to earth and without pretense; you are a "real" person.
Your Fifth Strength
Fairness, equity, and justice

Treating all people fairly is one of your abiding principles. You do not let your personal feelings bias your decisions about other people. You give everyone a chance.

I think the first strength pretty true, because I think I am usually not too impulsive and like to think things through slowly..and weigh the situation before jumping to any conclusions. I agree with the "solid evidence" part too... I guess the second strength goes with the first one, since caution precedes big decisions and what I say. When I'm in a big group I like to work on my share of the work because I don't believe that only 1 person should do everything;; so I agree with it. And about the fourth and fifth strengths...I admit to not being 100% truthful all the time;; that's very difficult;; but I think I'm prettyyy honest when the situation is like "if I don't confess something even worse is going to happen...",, and for sure I like equality.. :)

our experiment*

This blog will be used to record our happiness =D
We read an article "Don't worry, be happier", which explained many different ways to increase our levels of happiness, instead of having a happiness thermostat. They included random acts of kindness, building upon signature strengths, and thinking about 3 good things before going to bed.
Then we did a quiz "Authentic Happiness Inventory" to find out our level of happiness on Seligman's site... I scored 3.17
We also did a questionnaire that determined our 24 strengths.
